Monroe Crossing - $10

Saturday, November 10, 2012

Minnesota Music Hall of Fame bluegrass artist Monroe Crossing will appear in concert at Madison\'s Mother Fool\'s Coffeehouse on Saturday, November 10, starting at 8:00 p.m. This concert marks Monroe Crossing\'s first appearance in Madison in their 12 year international touring career!

Known as \"the Midwest\'s Premier Bluegrass & Gospel Quintet,\" Monroe Crossing has recently performed to sellout audiences at the Portage Center for the Arts, The Sheldon Theatre, The Farimont Opera House and The Bloomington Center for the Arts. They have previously appeared locally at the Al Ringling Theatre and the Stoughton Opera House. They are known both for their dynamic stage show and for the warmth they share on and off stage, interacting with the audience and always honoring requests after the intermission.

\"Frankly, even as familiar with the band in live performance as I am, I did not expect a performance as spectacular as this one was, one of the most memorable shows I\'ve seen during the 30-year run of the Emelin\'s bluegrass concert series. Both at intermission and at the close of the show, countless people stopped to tell me how much they enjoyed the band.\" - Arnie Fleischer, Emelin Theatre, Mamaroneck NY

\"I dare ANYONE to watch Monroe Crossing and not get happy!\" - D.A. Callaway, Silver Dollar City, Branson MO.

\"Your stage presence and interaction with the audience was outstanding. The vocals were amazing, and your musicianship was absolutely top-notch.\" - Marty Scarbrough, KASU\'s Bluegrass Mondays, Paragould AR

Monroe Crossing plays over 125 shows a year at major venues across the Midwest, including The Big Top Chautauqua in Bayfield WI, Branson\'s Silver Dollar City and the legendary Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View AR. They are a 2007 inductee into the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame, and were invited by the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) to showcase at the 2007 IBMA World of Bluegrass convention in Nashville.
