A benefit for Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin.

Each member of this southwest Wisconsin area band shares a love of blues, folk, rock, and acoustic music, creating a blend that is unique to the Mothers. Stripping away excess until only bare essentials remain, the result is soulful and haunting -folk-rock-blues with bite- that bears little resemblance to bluegrass groups with similar instrumentation. The vocal harmonies carry a simple beauty, and the stark lyrics conjure compelling visual images. Top it off with some rock and roll attitude and that's the Mothers!

Doug Pahl is a Madison born and raised musician with a penchant for clever lyrics and a rare talent for the acoustic guitar. The power behind his every piece is a well crafted song structure and chord progression with an overlay of heartfelt vocal melody.
