Chicago native Kristin Ronne combines thought-provoking lyrics with complex song structures that are defiantly non-commercial. On her mostly-acoustic debut, Red Line Train, R--nne flavors her folk tunes with elements of jazz and Latin music. Her rough-edged, soulful voice serves to focus and direct the music. The CD finds her collaborating with guitarist/mandolin player Ben Lansing, who also joins R--nne for live performances.
