Artist Statement Tamara Lea Kaufman’s personal artwork ranges from serious to quirky, dark, adult-themed humor. She creates multimedia assemblage, collage, and dioramas made from HO-scale railroad hobby miniatures, preserved insects, paint, embroidery, found objects, and typically discarded materials such as candy wrappers and the overlooked debris of everyday life. BICKERING!!!!!!

Okay, not so much magic. BUT, do you remember opening the newspaper comics page (also, remember newspapers?) and there was a one-strip comic called The Lockhorns, which focused on a married couple who were forever deriding one another in a variety of domestic and social situations? Hilariously and obliquely? Remember?

NOW, imagine if both members of the Lockhorn dyad played instruments! In public! And you were there! That-s The Geoff and Kia Show! Plus, with extra-special guests! And puppets!

For this RARE August 3rd performance, the intrepid duo will perform a variety of composed/improvised music on such instruments as accordion, vibraphone, -French- horn, and theremin. Joining them in this endeavor will be special guests DB Pedersen on voice, Melissa Reiser on saxophones, and Michael Brenneis on percussion. AND, various SOCK PUPPETS will be performing highlights from the film noir classic/pulp novel Double Indemnity, including the original ending that THE CENSORS DIDN-T WANT YOU TO SEE!
