Artist Statement Tamara Lea Kaufman’s personal artwork ranges from serious to quirky, dark, adult-themed humor. She creates multimedia assemblage, collage, and dioramas made from HO-scale railroad hobby miniatures, preserved insects, paint, embroidery, found objects, and typically discarded materials such as candy wrappers and the overlooked debris of everyday life. Her work explores topics of consumption, waste, desire, relationships, psychology, politics, societal pressures and the levity of humor needed to survive it all. Uh, some of us have serious musical training (Jennifer and may Claire), others have trained themselves; Dave and Chris and Blair. Some of us think the real reason we are in the band is to provide a humorous respite from an otherwise grizzly assault on the urban sensibilities of our selected audiences. Yes that\'s a ramble but the GIST of it is that we just want to play the tunes that Blair writes and have no one tell us how to do it. So thanks for the hands-off approach Blair. Thanks also to my band mates for a great creative atmosphere. Let\'s rock the lower near west side of wherever!
