Artist Statement Tamara Lea Kaufman’s personal artwork ranges from serious to quirky, dark, adult-themed humor. She creates multimedia assemblage, collage, and dioramas made from HO-scale railroad hobby miniatures, preserved insects, paint, embroidery, found objects, and typically discarded materials such as candy wrappers and the overlooked debris of everyday life. About Rose Polenzani:

Rose Polenzani has spent the past ten years living and writing songs in Somerville, MA. Her most recent project, "SUB ROSA," is a monthly live show that brings the best and brightest of Boston's songwriters together with some of the most talented and adventurous musicians. SUB ROSA has featured such luminaries as Catie Curtis, Melissa Ferrick, Anne Heaton, Mark Erelli, and Antje Duvekot. Her collaborations have spawned several playful YouTube videos--YouTube's music editor once pulled Rose aside at a music conference to confess that her channel was a personal favorite. Rose has been recently nominated for Best Folk Act in the 2009 Boston Music Awards, and won the 2008 Mountain Stage Newsong competition. In January of this year, the Boston Herald called Polenzani "Not just another singer/songwriter... Polenzani's songs are full of hidden lyrical corners and ghostly beauty."

About Rose Cousins:

Halifax-based singer songwriter Rose Cousins grew up on a potato farm in Prince Edward Island, one of 5 children. She played her first open mic in 1997, and twelve years later was playing a sold out show with the Halifax symphony in Nova Scotia. Considered an honorary local in the Boston music scene, Exclaim! Magazine describes her as -Neither folk nor country, Cousins straddles that middle ground blazed by strong, independent singer-songwriters like Shawn Colvin before her, a similarly fresh voice rising above clich-, one armed with an exceptional grasp of pop sensibilities.- Recent honors include the 2008 East Coast Music Awards, where she won -Female Recording of the Year,- and the 2007 Mountain Stage Newsong Contest, where she won top honors.
