2-$-Cockroach is a Poetry-Blues-Jug-band / Performance-Art group. How can all that work you ask? Well, their genre is self-described as ---a whole lot of whatever,--- but their sound is defiantly Americana. ---It---s as if you can hear the melting-pot being stirred.--- They defy genre, age group, and the line between audience and performer. Expect the Roaches to move from a spoken word piece over a dirty blues lick to three-harmony-rock song, from an experimental noise piece to a medieval flavored folk song, and from a metal cover deconstructed to its blues roots to a free-form jazz piece with toy instruments passed out to the audience. There is always something for everyone, but also something no one---s ever heard before.

Nathan Xander was born a Pisces in, Union City, Pennsylvania in 1983 and currently lives in Chicago.
