Yid Vicious
Well, another year---s gone by, and that can mean only one thing---okay, several things, but assuming you---re not counting down the days until our gorilla overlords bury the Statue of Liberty up to her shoulders, it can only mean one thing---and that one thing is, of course, the Annual Groundhog Day Klezstravaganza that Yid Vicious has been hosting annually ever since anyone can remember. Much like Bastille Day and the Superbowl, no one now living knows when or how this tradition began. However, though its origins be lost to the mist of time, we---re fairly certain that this year---s Groundhog Day Kleztravaganza will deliver plenty of klezmer of the sort beloved by generations of Yid Vicious fans. And of course, in homage to the long lost ancestors who began this venerable tradition, there will be plenty of current and past members of the band on hand, guests both special an ordinary, playing music together with a stirring and timeless rapport.
None of us can go back in time to that first, storied Kleztravaganza, back in those crazy days of flivvers, flappers, Atari, straw hats and the Bill of Rights. But we can certainly do our best not to miss this one, because who---s to say it won---t be as historic as the first such event?
