Optometri

Touch and Gogol Records is delighted to announce celebration of its esteemed 26th Anniversary Reunion Event featuring the greatest of all bands Optometri. Since Touch and Gogol experienced untimely demise fairly soon after its establishment, only one band was ever signed, namely Optometri, and therefore this splendid 26th Anniversary Reunion Event will feature only one band, namely Optometri. Optometri will perform excellent songs of love and success that would have appeared on its Touch and Gogol release had label not gone belly down before we are having a chance to release it or record it or talk about it very much. Optometri, as if you didn't know this information already, is a premium band from Russia now residing in Wisconsin, America. Frontman Yuri Mishkin and his merry band of ersatz surgeons will rock you from east to west and back again with their unique brand of pre-post-Soviet melodic mayhem. A rock and roll band of superior force and artistry, Optometri is a true geo-politico-historical treasure, and quite possibly the most brilliant act of the world, if we are being honest with ourselves in a way that most of us hardly ever are nowadays in this era of self-delusion. Optometri's March 12, 2004 engagement at the Mother Fools concert hall was selected by noted newspaper Wisconsin State Journal as one of the best shows of that year, so this is no joke about your desire to attend Reunion Event, which will certainly top all others of its category and chronology.
