December 2025

Laurel Statz is a painter and Madison area native. Her work, while figurative, is influenced by abstraction and minimalism. VIOLA AND VIBES!

Please come to see the dynamic Viola-Vibraphone duo performance, featuring violist Nils Bultmann and vibraphonist Geoff Brady, at Mother Fools Coffee House on Saturday May 28th at 8pm. This performance will feature three sets, one shorter solo set from each of the members, followed by a longer collaborative duo set. Hope you can join us.

Geoff Brady.
Madison percussionist/theremistimproviser Geoffrey Brady plays all sorts of different music and draws on all of it in his solo and duo (with Nils) Performing. Using the vibraphone, theremin, and various other noisy accoutrements, he walks a confoundingly thin line between gentle lyricism and cringe-inducing noise. In addition, Brady can light a match with one hand.

Nils Bultmann
Violist and composer Nils Bultmann, in addition to being active in the classical music scene, is engaged in a wide variety of musical and artistic activity. Performing solo viola works and using looping pedals, he creates panoramic musical landscapes, ranging from soaring melodic lines, to deep meditative atmospheres, to fast piercing, trance-inducing rhythmic grooves.
