Artist’s statement:

Even when I am the voice of experience, situations are often new to me. A recipe is a novel experiment, as is a color pending mixture for a subtly different hue. Things tend to stay fresh for me: ideas, feelings, concepts. Long-standing parts of my life are considered in multiple lights.

Every moment is an opportunity to be more knowing, overcome an error, hone a skill. These paintings were created, as I moved through complex and wisdom-building times of the past couple of decades. I have selected them for you, the audience, to consider, in light of your own lives.
