ARTIST STATEMENT

1. No AI was used in any way with this show. I'm curious if you find that surprising.

2. Thanks for coming. Enjoy your time here today and hopefully when you leave you'll feel more connected to the web of organic life on this planet, more aware of your surroundings, and more prepared to chuckle at the jabs of those that seek to gaslight you.

3. Art, humor, community...our antidote to alienation, nihilism, and device stupor.

4. At this time the original pieces are not for sale. A limited number of reproductions may be available.

Regarding the process-

I work with what wafts my way. Weaving what the wind wants wet. Nothing purchased but glue.

People tell me that more meanings are discovered as time goes on; the usual stuff: symbols, myths, drama, love, conflict, resolution, evisceration, and even a bit of latin. But these discovered/ imagined meanings were mostly likely not in the mind of the human whose hands made these. The true is beyond the one with the glue. But something comes through! Oh what to do? Keep doing it.

Over years I've grown more comfortable trusting the process and the flow. Relaxing into a quasi-conscious mode of mind allows startling formulations and shocking transmogrifications to emerge. We justify our juxtapositions, for the masses find them refreshing. Many people laugh. Maybe you can tell me why.
