A Red Pine tree was planted at the corner of 212 Merry Street in the late 60s that evolved over the decades into a cooperative household. We are making it a place for comity and creativity; Clarity and the imagination; we change detritus of early 21st century late stage capitalism into art, shrine, paintings, music, sculptures, urban Permaculture and homesteading experiments. We appreciate the used, the worn out, ever crumbling and reassembling; as we all are all the time.

Minneapolis based poet and playwright Lisa Brimmer brings together a collaborative group, High Society. The group melds a jazz based, improvisational music style with Brimmer-s voice. For one night only, an episode of High Society will be brought to you featuring Evan Montgomery, Guitar- (Minneapolis, MN- Projects include: Lulu-s Playground, Evan Montgomery Quintet, Jana Nyberg Group) and recent 2012 Drummer of the Year, MAMA Award Winning Paul Kennedy (Madison, WI- Projects include: Sexy Ester, Mulligan Stew).

In High Society, every episode is different. We improvise in order to create a world illuminated and transcendent of the one we live in, however reminiscent. We laugh, we cry and we heal.
