Laurel Statz is a painter and Madison area native. Her work, while figurative, is influenced by abstraction and minimalism. "Lindsay Jane is that rare artist that comes along from god knows where and blows away everybody she encounters. She is a writer of great depth with the ability to get right at the heart of things with an insightful mind that examines truth and presents it in a simple and most poignant manner. Lindsay Jane's songs move people, there is no way anybody can be indifferent. This isn't background music; her songs hit the target dead on the money." -Mitch Poldolak Founder of the Winnipeg & Vancouver Folk Festivals

"...a clear, sleepy, lights low voice sitting on top of the soft shoe shuffle of a jazz guitar that means, grab your girl, get some really good wine, and turn out the lights. Canada, once again, sends me a pleasant experience." STAVE MAGAZINE

After pedaling thousands of miles across america on four different bike/music tours, Kristine is back in Madison to record her new songs with Matthew Sanborn of The Motor Primitive, and to share stories from the road. Her songs can be described as thoughtful musings about western civilization and its destructive impact on the natural and social landscapes she has explored from the seat of her bicycle. Her melodies are intricate tapestries sung with passion and precision, while her lyrics are sometimes startling, sometimes funny and paint a picture of what the world would look like if enough of us started using the bicycle as our main mode of transportation.

"Pettersen's faith in human qualities rings extremely clear and true, loud enough to realize that peace might be just beyond chaos." - CURRENT, Ann Arbor
