"Permutations of Red Pine"

September 2026

A Red Pine tree was planted at the corner of 212 Merry Street in the late 60s that evolved over the decades into a cooperative household. We are making it a place for comity and creativity; Clarity and the imagination; we change detritus of early 21st century late stage capitalism into art, shrine, paintings, music, sculptures, urban Permaculture and homesteading experiments. We appreciate the used, the worn out, ever crumbling and reassembling; as we all are all the time.

Emily White is a singer-songwriter well aged by living in the South, Midwest, and Northeast, and writing her way through two Boston blizzards. Her songs trade currencies of heartbreak and wit, passion and laughter, and she fuses musical influences and styles seamlessly. Although her music has currently led her to reside in Chicago, her music still resembles that of a girl with Southern blood in her veins. She is often compared to Jonatha Brooke and Ani DiFranco, but Emily's style is all her own. Check out her website to hear tracks off of her recent EP release, 'Every Pulse,' and come see for yourself what she's all about.

Ian Alexy is a dynamic singer/songwriter/guitarist. His new CD Rootedness is a ten song collage of original poetry, deft finger-picking, jazzy melodies, and the heart-warming tales of a well-traveled man.

In 1995 Ian studied jazz harmony and guitar at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston Ma. "It was an amazing time, there was a wide pool of creativity to draw from. I think that I may have learned more playing in student's apartments than in the classroom."
