Laurel Statz

"The Spectator"

December 2025

Laurel Statz is a painter and Madison area native. Her work, while figurative, is influenced by abstraction and minimalism. \"Simple folk-pop with endearing lyrics... expect an earnest, cheery performance including lots of story-songs.\" -The Onion

The Buffali are a quirky folk-pop duo consisting of Clare Fehsenfeld on vocals and acoustic guitar and Andrew Yonda on vocals and acoustic bass guitar. Their lighthearted, collaborative approach to songwriting creates sing-along melodies and bluegrass-inspired harmonies. They have been described as sounding like a mix of the Beatles, Patsy Cline, and Mates of State.

In April 2004 the band won the UW-Madison Battle of the Bands and are currently working on their debut full-length album at Madison\'s Smart Studios.

Yammer is one of Jonathan Zarov\'s projects. Expect well-crafted weird pop-rock tunes and a stage show that never ceases to amaze.
