Fri, Jan 8 A Kin - $6

Shawn Neary is a son of the Middle West and his songs are of the same stock. He has lived in Southwest Wisconsin for two years now, drinking it all in with gratitude. His music has been described as slow-burning Americana by folks who write those kinds of phrases.

Kendra Swanson is an energetic performer of tribal and indie folk tunes and notorious singalong instigator. She employs clawhammer banjo, rigorous guitar, soulful strings, and hearty vocals for a distinctive, folksome sound.

Sandler is a purveyor of original honky-tonk and country music to remind you of where it all really comes from. His mindbendingly beautiful guitar stylings and powerful, one-of-a-kind voice convey memories of that old music, played with friends and family, and shared in all times.

Together, they are A Kin, a band founded in the autumn of 2015.

Sat, Jan 9 Lil Rev w/ Boo Bradley (solo) - $7

Lil’ Rev is a world-class entertainer and steward of vintage song and lore. Performing with ukulele, harmonica, mandolin, guitar and banjo, Rev has an unmatched repertoire of both traditional and original song, poetry, storytelling and humor. Audiences will sing-along, clap, laugh, and maybe even shed a tear at a Lil’ Rev performance. Both entertainer and educator, Rev is renowned as one of the preeminent ukulele instructors and performers in the nation with seven instructional books to his credit.

"Listen to this! Lil' Rev is great!" — Pete Seeger

Boo Bradley is Madison's amazing one-human jugband medicine show featuring Scott "Boo" Mullarky pumping out deep ragtime blues on a unique ensemble of old car horns, bells, a beat up guitar made of steel, kazoo, high-hat, an old parade drum and a tambourine...all at once! As the Onion A.V. puts it, "During the warmer months, Boo's performances are a favorite on State Street and at the Dane County Farmers' Market. Thanks to his feel for the sonic quirks of the National Resophonic steel guitar, Boo Bradley is as warm and fun as bluesy acts come these days".
