Join Black Marigold for an informal evening of coffee and chamber music. Tonight's program will feature contemporary compositions for wind quintet, including dance music by Brian DuFord and a suite inspired by Alexander Calder's mechanical circus; as well as a tangorific arrangement of Astor Piazzolla's Contrabajissimo that puts the bassoon in the driver's seat where it belongs.

Black Marigold members Elizabeth Marshall, flute; Laura Medisky, oboe, Bethany Schultz, clarinet; Kia Karlen, horn; and Carl Wilder, bassoon can be heard in ensembles throughout the area, ranging from the Madison Symphony and Wisconsin Chamber Orchestras to Klezmer stalwarts Yid Vicious. Together as Black Marigold, they have graced traditional stages, such as Sunday Afternoon Live from the Chazen, and have popped up at less-expected spots for chamber music, such as Orton Park Festival and Reedsburg Fermentation Fest.
