Sound Ensemble Wisconsin, or SEW, was founded in the fall of 2011 by violinist Mary Theodore and violist Chis Dozoryst. Mary and Chris have played together in orchestras and chamber music settings for several years. In their ongoing desire to pursue chamber music and serve the community, they resolved to form their own ensemble which aims to offer an authentic and provocative approach to chamber music, bringing great music to more people.

Sound Ensemble Wisconsin believes that music is a vital part of humanity and should serve everyone. Their mission is -Musicians finding the common thread-:

To SEW is to bring together. The common thread is any theme of everyday life to which we can all relate. Sound Ensemble Wisconsin weaves a theme into each season of programs through live chamber music. Musicians find and sew the common thread to create connections between people and the arts, between art forms through collaboration, between generations, between audience and musician, between musical culture and underserved populations, between diverse communities throughout Wisconsin.

Geoffrey Brady is a local drummer/percussionist who occasionally attempts to write and improvise original music. For this Mother Fool-s appearance, he-ll be performing all new original or stolen music on such instruments as the vibraphone, the theremin, and various electro-acoustical contrivances. Brady plays with local ensembles such as Glacier, Yid Vicious, The Gomers and Optometri. He-s also from Pontiac, MI and he can light a match with one hand.
