String band cabaret? Vaudeville honky-tonk?

Featuring former members of the legendary Maestro Subgum & The Whole, The Crooked Mouth String Band combine the folksiness of old-timey string bands with the harmonies and sensibilities of Bertolt Brecht.

Hailing from the world of Chicago's vibrant theater scene, Crooked Mouth puts on a delightfully entertaining show. Not to be missed.

Bob Jacobson played with Maestro Subgum during its glory days (at least they seem like glory days in 20-20 hindsight) of the late '80s and early '90s. He was the self-proclaimed idiot-genius behind such esteemed Madison outfits as Yid Vicious, The Theramones, and Optometri, and has also dabbled in Latin music and a few other things he has stumbled across haphazardly.

This show is not to be missed!
