Charlie Cheney is a former Madisonian now living in mainland Michigan. "Call-and-response Cab Calloway with an acoustic guitar." He plays uptempo good time music with the occasional heart-wrenching tune to change the pace and give the audience a moment to reflect on the joys of life.

"With elements of R&B, trance, electronica and soul, Julia Brown-s first record succeeds as a fresh and vital update of modern, intelligent pop music.
