It has been awhile since Christine Costanzo graced the Mother Fool's stage. We welcome here back and look forward to hearing her new songs and line-up.

"Though she's from Ohio and currently resides in Madison, Costanzo favors the bare-bone melancholy musings of Appalachia, with a dash of Joni Mitchell's windswept Canada thrown in" - The Onion

"She has a clear, lovely voice and writes story-songs like Dar Williams does. The voices of her narrators are as strong as you can wish for... Costanzo has a very real talent..." - The Ectophiles' Guide to Good Music

"...Costanzo evokes the bysgone whisperings of Joan Baez, Neil Young and even the Dead..her dreamy, poetic songs effectively weave the genres of country, folk and rock without getting mired in teh land of neo-hippie cliche." - The Sheperd Express, Milwaukee

A recent transplant to Kalamazoo, Michigan, Lucas Westcott grew up in New York-s Capital Region and studied traditional American folk music and claw hammer banjo with folk musician John Kirk. In college he played with a variety of bands ranging stylistically from rock, to Japanese pop. Lucas has engineered more than 15 live and studio albums including two of his own releases.

A largely acoustic singer/songwriter, Westcott-s music draws from influences including Townes Van Zandt, Johnny Cash, Todd Snider, and Ani DiFranco. His bare bones, rhythmically driven guitar accompanies punch line laden lyrics that tell stories ranging from family tragedy to quirky tales of romance.
