Executive Tea Set came together in 2005 to explore the special textures created by pairing piano and vibraphone in the front line of a jazz band. ETS-s repertoire brings together works by the masters of the hard-bop era with an equal number of mathy yet lyrical original compositions. The performance of some new material at this event may elicit comments such as: -I know I know this song, but I just can-t quite place it-.especially as performed in a jazz setting by Executive Tea Set.- To which you may choose to add: --the finest jazz band in all the land!- Or words to that effect.
