Jon LaDeau w/ Josh Harty - $6

Jon LaDeau is a songwriter who sings and plays the songs he writes. He has lived in NJ, NYC, Western Massachusetts, Colorado, in his car, and on your couch. He currently resides on planet Earth, most of the time. He loves the outdoors and tries to get there everyday; even if it's just to check the mail. His favorite toy would be a motorcycle if he had one. His new favorite meal is pork with bacon on it. His favorite color is blue and he doesn't mind run-on sentences. He recently set a new record for himself by driving 1,070 miles in one day. After hitting a string of bad luck, Jon has begun to write country songs. By playing them backwards, he has found that his truck runs again, his girl has come back, and his whiskey bottle is refilled! Somehow he is still flat broke, but is still working on that tune.

Josh Harty sauntered onto the bustling Madison folk scene when the young songwriter settled in the small city after a 26 year spell in Fargo, ND. -Josh Harty is one of the best young talents I have heard in years,- says Bob Reha of Minnesota Public Radio after hearing Josh open for B.B. King in Fargo, North Dakota. Josh-s performance impressed regional promoters and led to opening performances with Robert Cray, Roger McGuinn (of the Byrds), Keb Mo, Iris Dement, The Wood Brothers, and several engagements with Kelly Joe Phelps. Harty, a regular on the Madison scene, is described by the Dane 101 as -one of Madison-s best singer/ songwriters,- while the Pulse (Minneapolis, MN) calls him -an uncanny acoustic guitar based talent...a voice reminiscent of folk pioneer John Gorka.-
