Yid Vicious Klezmer Ensemble celebrates its 13th anniversary with a reunion concert at Mother Fool's Coffee House on Saturday, February 7. This all-ages show promises special guests galore at one of Madison's favorite live music venues. Yid Vicious formed in 1995 in the Williamson-Marquette neighborhood, and performed its first live concert at Mother Fool's on Groundhog Day 1996. Madison was experiencing record cold temperatures that night, but a few hardy souls braved the weather to cheer on the new band of local klezmorim. Each year, Yid Vicious returns to Mother Fool's in early February for a Groundhog Day Kleztacular, reuniting former bandmates and guest artists, until the stage can no longer contain everyone. Now in its 13th year, Yid Vicious has just released its fourth CD, Dollars to Doinas, which can be found at your neighborhood record store or at the Yid Vicious website.
