"Permutations of Red Pine"

September 2026

A Red Pine tree was planted at the corner of 212 Merry Street in the late 60s that evolved over the decades into a cooperative household. We are making it a place for comity and creativity; Clarity and the imagination; we change detritus of early 21st century late stage capitalism into art, shrine, paintings, music, sculptures, urban Permaculture and homesteading experiments. We appreciate the used, the worn out, ever crumbling and reassembling; as we all are all the time.

db (dave) pedersen brings his vocal menagerie to the stage of mother fool's for a performance loosely titled "catch a rising gas-giant". under the radar for several long months, db has been working on playing and composing for another studio album. venturing further into storytelling, he will be up to his usual hijinks of improvisation, extended voice theater, throat singing from beyond the horizon, as well as sharing anecdotes from the cradle to grave and back. a unique voice on the madison art scene, db's progress is maddeningly slow, but wonderous to catch a glimpse of. db will be joined this evening by a few local celebs for impromptu duets and merry making.
