December 2025

Laurel Statz is a painter and Madison area native. Her work, while figurative, is influenced by abstraction and minimalism. The paintings often have a quick and instinctual nature, capturing just what’s needed. Josh Harty is a classic example of "Made In America." He blends contemporary Midwestern sensibility with traditional gospel and blues to create a rich hybrid unique in the field of acoustic guitar. His poignant lyrics are the product of astute observation and thoughtful introspection. His crisp, emotive guitar couples with warm, smoky vocals that settle comfortably into each listener's ear. His songs are planted in the fertile soil of experience and nourished with the stuff of everyday life.

Satchel Paige has been writing songs for over a decade, though chances are you've never heard of him. Raised above the venerable songwriter's haven, Caf-- Carpe (Fort Atkinson, WI), Satchel has been surrounded by songsmiths his whole life through. With influences ranging from Beck to Mark Knopfler, Radiohead, The Beatles and a plethora of other singer/songwriters and bands, Satchel is not one for genre hang-ups. "I don't prefer any one kind of music to another and I think that's quite evident in my writing. The only thing I care about is that there is a palpable soul factor, which can be found in any kind of music, so long as it's coming from the heart and without pretense." An accomplished guitar player with a versatile, disarming voice and a knack for memorable melodies, Satchel Paige will, at the very least, not be a waste of your time.
