For Madison's Stephanie Rearick, labels like 'classical' and 'arty' don't do justice to the genre-bending music box of sound that comes from her upright piano. Nicole Gruter / Wilhelmina Baker...
Wilhelmina Baker is Nicole's current solo project. She sings arias through effects pedals, bares heart heart through a megaphone, pops out of a box to chastise the iraq war, turns from muslim to redneck with the help of Brooks and Dunn, and hands out tasty morsels that corresponde to the song at hand. Every show is different, multi-sensory (mmm..yummy), sometimes political, sometimes silly. Always entertaining!
