February 2026

Artist Statement Tamara Lea Kaufman’s personal artwork ranges from serious to quirky, dark, adult-themed humor. She creates multimedia assemblage, collage, and dioramas made from HO-scale railroad hobby miniatures, preserved insects, paint, embroidery, found objects, and typically discarded materials such as candy wrappers and the overlooked debris of everyday life. Celebrate! Ides of March Eve with mirthful MAMA and WAMI award-winning musical weirdo Biff Blumfumgagnge as he presents a solo evening entitled: Biff vs. Robots.

Witness! The insane spectacle as the inventor of the Gomers (and member of Reptile Palace Orchestra, Jambeau, Yammer and Headpump) battles digital, analog and air music technology right in front of your eyes. Biff will spill out his goods upon the Motherfool's Stage like an exploding NASA space probe and proceed to create sonic trickery, looping dervishes and electric violin / mandolin-scapes like you never heard - all to robot movies on a screen.

Add! A synth controller or two and he's ready to wrestle the musical automatons sprinkled about the stage like a bunch of mini mayhem-causing Borg vessels of sound, creating a live soundtrack to portions of Fritz Lang's 1927 silent film masterpiece, Metropolis. And that's just the first set.

It's ambient - techno - world music moving to images of robots smashing buildings, thwarting man and fighting giant dinosaurs...

This is the second in a series of Biff solo concert events at Motherfool's Coffeehouse.

No robots will actually be hurt during this presentation.
