MiLkBabY: BioDuB Society is Barry Bennett (elctro and acoustic drums, keys, voice); Darren Shepherd (bass, guitar, voice); Sophie Senard (accordian, voice, keys.)

After a 7 month hiatus from the stage so that MiLkBabY's papa, Barry Bennett, could get adjusted to being a papa in the literal sense to his new daughter; the MiLkBabY entity returns in yet another altered form. Adding Sophie Senard (keys accordian, voice) who also plays with BabY Darren Shepherd (bass, guitar) in his group of insurgent folkies, FIGMENT.

MiLkBabY also returns with a fresh concept playing this show as MiLkBabY: BioDuB Society. They decided that duo should become a trio and gig to explore the dub influence after an informal dub filled jam on superbowl sunday. The trio found something calming and focusing about filtering the MiLkBabY sound through a dub lens and the joy of playing with sophie in the mix.

Bandleader Bennett says, "BioDuB society is definitly not an attempt to cop or simply become a genre of music, but more of an idea to filter our own MiLkBabY sound through the spirit of a genre. it's really exciting and fun to play in this mode. Having Sophie around really effects Darren and I in a positive way." When asked about the adding of the BioDub Society tag to the name, Bennett explained, "it gives the MiLkBabY entity freedom to experiment with different modes of concept and line-ups. While this tro is the core line-up, i am mindful that Darren and Sophie are also in another pretty darn good band that they need to be able to nurture. I personally want to open up into being to play in all sorts of situations, either solo or with other collaborators. We'll see where this all leads. I don't exactly where that is, but I bet it'll be challenging and cool."

db pedersen brings his take on extended voice/performance art to the stage for an evening of aural wonderment. self taught in the art of khoomei, db has the ability to create multiple silmultaneous tones that he sings across landscapes that he keeps safely tucked right behind his eyes.
