We are self-taught artists who create work inspired by healing, nature, travel, and personal experiences. Growing up, art became a way for us to process emotions, express ourselves, and create spaces that felt meaningful and comforting. Our first “gallery” was our college apartment, which we transformed with our own artwork and nature-inspired design and the power of the feminine. Sharing our space and work with others encouraged us to continue creating and exploring art more seriously. Gosh, is it THAT time of year again? The spooky goings on at night under the bright autumnal moon, the jack-o-lantern colors lapping at the night sky, the youngsters gallivanting about with giddy excitement. That's right, it's nearly October 30: DEVIL'S NIGHT.

But the REAL holiday celebration mega-party will take place on October 29th at Mother Fool's, where Yid Vicious wants to help YOU usher in yet another fiery Devil's Night with their blazing bulgars, flaming freylekhs, and, um, some other Yiddish dances that sound like they're on fire. Yid Vicious is Wisconsin's most firmly established Yiddish music ensemble, having spent almost a decade honing its craft, all the while putting a smile on the ears and feet of countless listeners and dancers. On hand will be the group's recently released CD, The Seventh Schlemiel, which one local critic finds "inventive, varied, and vivacious." Who knows, maybe you will too!

But the REAL reason you don't want to miss this once-in-a-lifetime blowout is: SOCK PUPPETS. THIS ONE TIME ONLY, Yid Vicious will host the Sockrates Sock Puppet Carnival of Morals and Logic, in which Schopenhauer will debate a pack of zombies. Who will come out on top? Nietzsche's mentor, the leading proponent of German pessimism? Or a throng of brain-hungry walking dead? This event will NOT be televised. You can only see it live, in person, at Mother Fool's Coffee House, Oct. 29 at 8 pm. As always, no refunds.
