December 2025

Laurel Statz is a painter and Madison area native. Her work, while figurative, is influenced by abstraction and minimalism. The paintings often have a quick and instinctual nature, capturing just what’s needed. While she often times herself to eliminate extra details and over-precision, she has ventured into more detailed works as well. Laurel does not attach narrative to her pieces. ** STEPHANIE REARICK is a pianist, vocalist, songwriter, sometimes trumpeter. She is one of the founding members of Madison, Wisconsin garage-cabaret, circus-rock outfit The Coma Savants. She also regularly performs solo. Rearick\'s style is pop-ish, classically-influenced art music sometimes tinged with cabaret.

\"Rearick faithfully follows her muse here, allowing listeners into her oddball, often dark and always fascinating musical personality, which encompasses pop, jazz, classical and experimental tendencies.

From soothing instrumentals (the three-passage \"L\'Inhumaine\") to ethereal pop (the slowly building \"I Need Sunflowers!\") to dark ditties (the train-wreck subject matter of \"Clyde\") to witty excursions (the perky \"Buster Moon,\" with lyrics penned by P.S. Mueller), Rearick delivers a cornucopia of aural moods, all via her upright piano -- and occasionally her trumpet.\" - Goldmine

** PASCAL\'s style has been described as anti-folk, indie punk-folk and things like that. His major influences include Vic Chesnutt, Elliott Smith, Beck, Red House Painters, and Bright Eyes.

The Nashville Rage says, \"PASCAL, whose startling CD from Uvulittle Records opens with a jaunty little murder ballad that sounds something like Will Oldham and Beck drunk on Robitussin (in other words, dark, weird, creepy and really cool)\"

** MILKBABY \"have every right to wonder why they do not have a larger than national following... a great roller coaster ride.\" --- Jim Brenholts for Abmientvisions.com

\"Tribal percussion keeps clock while shamanic chants apostrophize friendly spirits, and sheets of disembodied tonality play footsie with dust particles...MiLkBabY mean to repave your mental landscape\" -- THE ISTHMUS Madsison, WI
