"Permutations of Red Pine"

September 2026

A Red Pine tree was planted at the corner of 212 Merry Street in the late 60s that evolved over the decades into a cooperative household. We are making it a place for comity and creativity; Clarity and the imagination; we change detritus of early 21st century late stage capitalism into art, shrine, paintings, music, sculptures, urban Permaculture and homesteading experiments. We appreciate the used, the worn out, ever crumbling and reassembling; as we all are all the time.

For seven or eight years now, Wisconsin klezmer juggernaut Yid Vicious has been serving the community by helping it cast aside its mid-winter doldrums...with KLEZMER! And this year will be no exception. Ergo, Yid Vicious will be performing on FRIDAY, JANUARY 30th (a date that may or may not actually be Groundhog Day; no one knows for sure) at 8:00 ish at MOTHER FOOLS place of coffee and performing. As per usual, this year\'s

MEGATACULAR SUPER FABULISTIC GROUNDHOG DAY KLEZMER BLOWOUT
will feature:

* klezmer music
* fun
* goodwill
* laughs
* more klezmer music
* maybe some minor prizes awarded to audience members under some pretext or other
* the gracious and welcome presence of former members of Yid Vicious, who now number
well into the hundreds.

THINK ABOUT IT! What chases away seasonal (or other) depression more quickly and effectively than healing, soul-stirring klezmer?

And what klezmer band has always been there for you, through the floods, the heartbreak, the audits and the cracked teacups? What, the Klezmatics? They could care less about you, with their jet-setting ways! The Klezmer Conservatory Band? Why, they\'re too busy pressing their velvet jackets and garters to care! No, the only klezmer band that\'s always looked out for you and every thing you hold dear is Yid Vicious. In your heart you know this to be true.
