Archer Rider is an artist of many disciplines, mainly working with metal, wood, fibers, and paint. Her sole purpose is to create art from materials left over from previous projects and found objects, embodying her attempt to lower waste and consumption.
This body of work “Second Vessel" is a marriage of repurposed materials matched with traditional paint on canvas. The abstract shapes are intended to convey a sense of playfulness and harmony between color and materials.
