Details:
The Center for Photography at Madison's plastic camera enthusiasts present a
group show October 4 - 31.

Photographers working with a variety of cheesy cameras, from a $1 no-name 35
mm to the popular Chinese-made Holga 120S, contribute startling and beautiful
images to the show.

Why plastic cameras? These less-than-state-of-the-art cameras often produce
unusual and unexpected results, and the combination of loosely wound film,
light leaks, in-camera reflections, double-exposures and what might
charitably be termed soft focus create surprising and thrilling images. The
group firmly believes that you don't need a lot of money to make great
pictures.

Photographers participating include Patricia Delker, Carol Chase Bjerke, Paul
Thoreson, Lorenz Heim, Chris Paul, Jean Dahmen, Melinda Gustafson, Howard
Lerner, Dave Goldenberg, Linda Falkenstein and Dawn Mason.
